Wrinkle Creams Can Only Make You Look Younger Up To A Certain Extent

By Jen Hopkins

When using your first ever wrinkle cream, you might not be familiar as to what to expect from your wrinkle cream. One thing that you should not always believe is the claims of the wrinkle creams that you see. A lot of these creams would exaggerate the results that it can produce to make people buy their cream.

The most common claim that wrinkle creams make that they cannot live up to is the amount of time that they take to produce results. A lot of creams would claim to provide results in a matter of days, with some even claiming to give instant results. Some of these may be true but they will only work temporarily which means you will be dependent on these creams everyday to hide your wrinkles.

The first thing that you should know about the good wrinkle creams is that it would take some time before they will provide the anti-wrinkle effects that you want. This would generally take several weeks up to a few months before you will see the maximal effects of a cream on your face.

One of the basic effects of a cream is to moisturize the skin. The effects of moisturizing the skin are also the ones that first appear on the face. Skin will become smoother and softer to touch and a decrease in blemishes will be seen.

Moisturization is not the only effect of wrinkle creams that can reduce blemishes and dark spots. There are creams that provide the skin with its needed nutrients or stimulate cell regeneration. This action will help get rid of the old cells on the surface of the skin to give way for younger and better looking cells.

The last thing that you should expect is its wrinkle reduction effect. For the first few weeks, you should not expect wrinkles to disappear as it will take time for this effect to occur. The skin will first have to increase its elasticity by making more of the needed proteins as stimulated by the cream. These proteins will then have to be incorporated into the skin before it can become firmer and reduce the appearance of wrinkles.

The effects of wrinkle creams would usually take a few weeks up to several months. You should not expect a cream to make your skin look younger instantly. Although there are creams that seem to work this way, they are only hiding your wrinkles and will have no long lasting effect in decreasing your wrinkles and improving your skin.

A lot of creams will make outrageous claims just so that people will buy their product. You should not be fooled by some of these claims as a lot of them are exaggerated. Be sure to choose creams wisely by checking out their ingredients and reading customer testimonials to be able to find the best cream possible.
